Marion Angela deClaire (Marantette)
Marion deClaire, AKA "Marian" AKA "Aunt Mex" was born on July 8, 1911 in Detroit. She attended Parochial schools and graduated from St. Mary's School in Mt. Clemens Michael and was valedictorian of her class. With the exception of a short period in World War II, she spent her entire career as a municipal employee and ending as Deputy Controller of the City of Grosse Pointe Park. Marion had a humorous habit to tell her guests to "wash the patties" (meaning hands) before eating. Marion was married, but had no children and died December 3, 1998. She had alzheimer's disease at the time of her death.
